Kyle Mars earned a four-year varsity letter while playing for the Penn State University Men's Volleyball team, during which time he was a key contributor to the team's success, helping lead them to the 2010 NCAA Runner-Up position and the NCAA Semifinals in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

In addition to his collegiate success, Kyle has also been recognized on a national level as a member of both the 2008 USAV Junior National Training team and the 2007 USAV Youth National A2 Training team. He was also named to the All Greater Rochester All Star team for two consecutive years in 2007 and 2008.

Following his playing career, Kyle has continued his involvement in the sport as a coach. He is currently the Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Baldwin Wallace University, a position he has held since 2019. He has also served as the USAV Ohio Valley Region High Performance Program head coach since 2017, where he has led his teams to two USAV High Performance Championship Bronze medals with the Ohio Valley Region Boys.
