Kong Face Off in the JVA Invite

The Cleveland Kong are gearing up for their next big challenge as they head to Louisville, KY to compete in the JVA Invite on April 15th and 16th. The Kong are facing off against the newly formed Atlanta Bobcats, a Tier 2 team from Atlanta, Georgia, for the first time.

The Kong's roster for the JVA Invite includes a mix of familiar faces and new additions. Among the returning players are outside hitters Anthony Winter and Phil Swartz, libero Brayan Hernandez, and middle hitter Jason Donorovich. These players were all part of the team that competed at the recent VLA East Cup in Albany, NY, bringing valuable experience and skills to the team.

The Kong's new faces include outside hitter Trevor Weiskircher, setter Michael Wahl, and middle hitter Paul Lee Gardner. These players are sure to bring fresh energy and talent to the team, adding to their already impressive lineup.

Anthony Winter, one of the Kong's star outside hitters, expressed his confidence in the team's roster selection heading into the JVA Invite. "I’m really looking forward to the dynamic that this roster will have. We should have an incredibly energetic group and just really looking forward to being back with the boys," Winter said. "I’m also super excited for some young guys to step into big roles like Brayan [Hernandez] and Michael [Wahl]."
