VLA Central Cup Results

The Cleveland Kong, recently competed in the Central Division Cup tournament. The tournament featured several top teams from the division, including the Kong, the Columbus Crimson, the Beer City Brewers, the Kentucky Unicorns, and the Chicago Icemen.

The Kong started the tournament off on a tough note, suffering a 3-0 loss to the Columbus Crimson in their first round-robin game. However, they bounced back in their second game, defeating the Beer City Brewers 3-1. Despite the win, the Kong finished third in their pool and had to compete in the play-in round to qualify for the quarter-finals.

In the play-in round, the Kong faced off against the Kentucky Unicorns putting in a strong performance to win the match 3-1.

Unfortunately, the Kong's journey in the tournament came to an end in the quarter-finals, as they were defeated by the Chicago Icemen by a score of 3-0. The Icemen proved to be a tough opponent, dominating the Kong in all three sets.

Kong will now turn their attention to the Eastern Division Cup, which is set to take place on April 1-2, 2023, in Albany, NY. With the experience gained from the Central Division Cup and their sights set on the future, the Kong will undoubtedly be looking to come away with better results in the upcoming tournament.
